2A12 aluminum alloy Al Cu Mg series aluminum alloy, main features and application range: This is a hard aluminum that can be strengthened by heat treatment. It has moderate plasticity in quenched and just quenched states, good spot welding, and a tendency to form intergranular cracks when gas welding. The alloy has good machinability after quenching and cold work hardening, but low machinability after annealing. Its corrosion resistance is not high, and anodizing treatment and painting methods or surface aluminum coating are often used to improve its corrosion resistance.
