The molybdenum content of 316 stainless steel plate and 317 stainless steel plate is slightly higher than that of 316 stainless steel plate. Because of the molybdenum in the steel, the overall performance of the steel is superior to 310 and 304 stainless steel. 316 stainless steel has a wide range of applications at high temperatures when the sulfuric acid concentration is below 15% and above 85%.
