On April 15, 2022, the United States International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review of industrial injury of Welded Stainless Steel Pressure Pipe imported from India final determination: Ruled that if the existing anti-dumping and countervailing measures are lifted, material injury to the domestic industry caused by imports of the products in question may continue or recerse within a reasonably foreseeable period. According to the final ruling, the current anti-dumping and countervailing measures continue to be effective. All five ITC members voted in favor of the decision.
On October 21, 2015, the United States initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations against imports of stainless steel welded pressure pipes from India. On September 23, 2016, the United States issued final anti-dumping and countervailing duty determinations on imports of stainless steel welded pressure pipes from India. On October 1, 2021, the United States initiated the first sunset review of anti-dumping and countervailing duties against imports of stainless steel welded pressure pipes from India. On February 1, 2022, the US Department of Commerce issued a final determination of the first rapid sunset anti-dumping and countervailing duty review on imports of stainless steel welded pressure pipes from India.
