Product Description
ASTM A240 316 is the standard molybdenum-containing grade, second only to 304 in importance among austenitic stainless steels. Molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistance compared to grade 304, especially in chloride environments where it has higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. It has excellent forming and welding properties. It is easily braked or rolled to form parts for a wide variety of applications in industry, construction and transportation.
